The most extraordinary stories often brush past us without our even noticing—small, fragile, hidden among things that seem to have no value at all. *Che ci faccio qui – In scena* (“What Am I Doing Here – On Stage”) stems from this search for the invisible: from the need to restore a voice and a presence to those who have been left on the margins. Domenico Iannacone brings his neorealist television storytelling to the stage, transforming it into an intimate space where investigative reporting becomes a direct encounter—a moment of listening and revelation. The theater allows for something that television cannot always achieve: it amplifies emotions, gives substance back to memories, and invites us to share a perspective on those often left behind. As familiar stories return with a renewed intensity, the show itself continues to evolve. New material, fresh testimonies, and lives encountered during fieldwork become part of the theatrical narrative, ensuring that *Che ci faccio qui – In scena* remains a constantly shifting story—a living organism that tracks the author’s own journey and takes on a different form each time. On stage, the journalist sheds the constraints of television timing and discovers a different rhythm: one that is more human, more vulnerable, and closer to the lives he has encountered. His investigations cease to be mere reportage; they become full-fledged encounters that reveal themselves in their entirety, bringing to the surface emotions, silences, contradictions, and unresolved questions. While the imagery opens up visual vistas, the words broaden our emotional perception, turning the theater into a space for civic consciousness—mending the fabric of denied rights, hidden vulnerabilities, and truths that have gone unheard. This is a new kind of performance that goes beyond simple representation; it is an invitation to look at the world with fresh eyes, to recognize humanity in the most unexpected places, and to allow ourselves to be touched by stories that deserve to be remembered.
